Here we could visit North Lake that was so close to the hotel. A remodeled kitchen was a big plus. All in all really GREAT stay.

I stayed here several years ago and loved it then...of course I came back and was pleased with how many upgrades and nice personal touches had been added to the rooms and property. The owner, Karin, was so welcoming and so were the other guests. She creates a very friendly atmosphere and met any needs that I had during my stay. Love the proximity to the beach! I can't wait to come back!
My stay was too short!

Leaving!!
No toilet paper. Towels were old and disgusting. Bathroom should be condemned. A drunk guest peed on our doorstep. Felt unsafe. Kitchen area was old and dirty. Worst place ever and it was $100/ night...SAD!!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Angelfish Inn. The owner, Karen, was very personable and accomodating and our room was very clean. She has a pond in the courtyard with Koi and Turtles which happened to be right outside our room in which she let our 4 yr old son feed them every day - he absolutely loved it. The beach was just a short walk, maybe 1-2 blocks, without having to cross any major roads. Shops and restaurants close too.

The rooms were great for the price and the location ...right near the beach and the rooms had kitchens in them which is very hard to find. The owner is very nice and easy to reach. The grounds are neat with a turtle and fish pond and cute cats walking around... I didn't bring my dog on this trip but would stay here with him on another trip. Awesome stay Thanks

We stayed one night after a late night flight into Ft. Lauderdale before heading south to Miami. Karen, the owner, was so great about making sure we were able to get into our room since we were coming in so late. She was really sweet and accommodating. The grounds are very "beachy" and cute with a turtle pond and resident cat! The room was clean and comfortable. We had breakfast just a few blocks away right on the beach. It was a steal - $8 for 2 people. We would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly, with plenty of tables outside to sit in the shade and watch the charming cats who live on the property playing outside, or to bask in the sun for a few minutes if you're too lazy to walk less than the 2 minutes to the beach (remember sunblock!). There is also an outdoor terrarium full of fish and lazy turtles, and you can barbeque there but we didn't try that. As you can see this place is very pet friendly, so bring your own! There are beach chairs and we also got beach towels to use which was great. Our room was well equipped with a very effective aircon unit (somewhat loud, but no louder than most aircon units) and kitchen with a microwave, oven, huge fridge, etc. Not that you need to cook as there is plenty of places to eat just a few minutes away. The place was spacious, with plenty of drawers, a closet and tiled floors which makes perfect sense when you come back from the beach. We especially enjoyed breakfast at Le Petit Prince. Very easy to get to Miami from here, but I would instead suggest going to Fort Lauderdale if you get bored of Hollywood!
Our stay at Angelfish was excellent, but a few things to be aware of to ensure you book the hotel right for you. The room has a very "rustic" charm to it. Everything was clean, worked and in good condition, but don't expect brand new. Also, the fridge where we stayed was in the same room as the bed, and very loud when it kicked into action, so you might want to unplug it during night if you got nothing too perishable. Also, if you can you should let the owner know when you arrive to ensure she will be there to greet you, but if not she lives nearby and a quick phonecall on the number on the office door and she was there two minutes later.

Comfortable atmosphere, great location only a block from the beach, kitchen and fridge, tv, etc.
Towels were stained and could be replaced, ran out of toilet paper because there was only one extra roll, there were items left over in the room before we came in (not enough consideration to remove items or carefully scour room before having us come in), some areas were dusty and should be cleaned a bit more.
